The Kingston Tennis Club Clubhouse Restoration and Courts Project
Building together for the next 100 years
Join us in being part of the largest capital project in our club’s history
With shovels first put in the ground in the fall of 2021, this capital project – the largest in the club’s history - will include a complete redesign and renovation of the clubhouse itself, as well as a complete upgrade of the two adjacent courts. We anticipate that the clubhouse restoration will be completed by late spring 2022.
We have taken care to preserve the look and feel of the old clubhouse while dramatically bringing it into the 21st century with innovative and modern upgrades and amenities and with expanded indoor and outdoor spaces. Relocating the steward kiosk and club office down to the enlarged lower deck will open up the second floor to create an airy, inviting space. You can read more about each element of the project in the attached Project Fact Sheet. Take a moment as well to watch this short video which tells the story of our 96-year old clubhouse, past and envisioned future.
With a total project investment of close to $1,000,000, the club will require a significant long-term loan, on top of the cash savings which we have accumulated over the past few years through careful financial management. There does remain a sizeable gap in funding: we are seeking the support of members and friends to help us close this gap, and realize our vision for a brand-new home.
With your support, we raised over $154,000 last year and we've received donations and pledges for a further $31,000 so far this year, making this by far the largest capital campaign in our club’s history. Please consider further donations as we progress with the clubhouse renovation and look towards the restoration of courts 1 and 7.
We invite you to donate now to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime campaign for the KTC!
As you consider your gift, please remember the following:
You will receive a tax receipt for your donation and can spread your donation with payments over two years.
Your Board of Directors has unanimously and resoundingly committed to this project, with a combined gift of $28,000.
You will be part of a special group of KTC members and friends, securing our strong and vibrant future, and paying it forward to the generations of tennis players who follow!
