KTC Code of Conduct
PURPOSE
The purpose of the Code of Conduct is to encourage a welcoming, safe and respectful environment at the Kingston Tennis Club (KTC).
SCOPE
All KTC members, staff, tennis professionals, guests/visitors, contractors, camp participants and parents are expected to adhere to the KTC Code of Conduct guidelines.
CONSEQUENCES
Failure to abide by any of the Code of Conduct guidelines outlined below may result in loss of court or membership privileges, removal from the premises, or other sanctions in accordance with KTC Abuse & Harassment Policy and Club By-Laws. (see section 2.4)
CODE OF CONDUCT

Be courteous and respectful to others at all times, whether on or off the courts.

Adhere to the KTC Rules of Play and Court Booking rules. Failure to do so may result in sanctions.

Refrain from using profanity, verbal abuse, or abuse of equipment.

Abide by the KTC Abuse & Harassment Policy. Absolutely no bullying, violence or harassment will be tolerated.

Respect KTC property and facilities.

Do not smoke or use e-cigarettes of any kind anywhere on KTC property. Additionally, no liquor or other alcoholic beverages are allowed on the courts.
PROCESS

Report any issues or concerns immediately to the KTC staff member on site if at all possible.

If no staff member is present at the time of the event, then report to the Club Manager (ktc@kingstontennisclub.com) or any KTC Director no later than 2 days after the incident.

The Board of Directors and Club Manager will follow procedures for handling complaints in accordance KTC policies and By-Laws.
Members who are in violation of the club's rules or repeatedly disregard court usage guidelines may have their membership suspended or cancelled.
