The Kingston Tennis Club held its annual Men's and Women's Doubles Championship on the August 20-22 weekend, rain-delayed and spread out ultimately to the evening of August 2, when the final championship match --the hard-fought women's final-- lasted almost three hours, with Ana Johnson taking the Women's title by outlasting Lisa Coates 6-7, 7-5, 6-2.
Johnson joins Jeff Neasmith who, in a thrilling match the afternoon of Saturday August 28, edged Michael Stych 1-6, 6-4, 7-5 to win the Men's trophy.
In the over 55 category, Gill Turnbull emerged the champion by defeating Mark Ready in a pro set 8-2.
